Peeing or spraying indoors?

Are you becoming frustrated with your cat peeing or spraying indoors?

Cats are very sensitive creatures and any changes to their environment both externally (a new family with a dog next door for example) or internally, can lead to unwanted behaviours such as peeing indoors (out of the litter tray) or spraying indoors.

Concerns about decorating or new furniture or changes in the location of furniture, can lead to these behaviours. Other changes prompting this could be additions to your home, whether human or feline, or a beloved family member leaving home. A new cat in the neighbourhood can be a trigger for some cats, who have felt safe patrolling their familiar streets.

Undiagnosed pain is another possible reason leading cats to begin toileting outside their litter trays or being afraid to go in their gardens when they once did.

I can help you explore the many possible reasons for this behaviour, after first ruling out a possible medical cause with your veterinarian to help your cat once more feel safe and comfortable to resume their previous toileting habits or establish new equally acceptable ones.
